Eli Moskowitz, where to begin…

Sure, he also goes by Hawk too.

This character from the Cobra Kai universe has had his shares of ups and downs, let’s not forget that win.

But it wasn’t always easy… He betrayed his binary brother and turned to the dark side, until he finally saw the light of Miyagi-Do

Knowing both styles and having been taught by Johnny, Kreese and Daniel definitely have their advantages and are present in his fighting skills.

But here’s what I hope is in store for our favourite Mohawked character in the sixth and final instalment of our beloved karate show…

Self acceptance 

Sure, he’s already on the path to accepting himself as Eli and not the mask he hides behind when he’s ’Hawk’ but I hope we will see more of this, or even this at its fullest extent in the final season.

I hope a final hair change will reflect that he has reached full balance.

I’d love the purple to make a return, but I am aware that will most likely not happen but I have my fingers crossed nonetheless. 

The part one trailer has shown a new look for him, and it’s interesting to say the least! Will be fascinating to see how long he’ll keep this new hairdo.

Fighting skills

He’s a top notch fighter as we have seen in the past 5 seasons, however — I would love to see him team up with people we necessarily haven’t seen him team up with before..

My main pick is Samantha. Their stories are sometimes parallel, especially when it comes to their journey with karate, and I believe seeing those two fight side by side against someone will be very interesting and even rewarding for both these characters.

Schooling

Nerdiness. 

If he has reached peak balance like mentioned above, I am hoping we will see a flare in the nerdiness, a mixture of season one Eli with the new infused Moskowitz blend of acceptance.

I want to see him nerding out with Demetri, I want to see him happy as he walks through the school hallway with his binary brother.

I also definitely want to see those YouTube videos… 

However, the trailer for part one suggests there is something sinister brewing between the binary brothers. Whether that be they’re headed to different colleges, or jealously… it seems they will clash heads in one way or another. 

Fulfilment

His arc will surely reach its peak in the final season.

He deserves at least one more win.

The fans deserve to see this. Whether it’s a small victory, or a large one.

Eli Moskowitz will surely revel in any form of victory as he will be happy in his own skin, and that in itself will be its own reward.

Inked skin

Will definitely not be surprised if the teenager gets some more illegal ink.

As for what it might be, I’m not too sure…

I predicted the lotus flower going into season 5, so I’m thinking something that will connect him further to the karate roots he has planted

Maybe a bonsai tree, or a crane? 

Anything is possible, he already has a massive bird tattooed on his back…

Or maybe he’ll go for something subtle like some binary code and maybe he’ll convince Demetri to get matching binary brothers one (Doubtful, but this is Eli!) 

So, what I’m saying is — The final season of Cobra Kai will see Eli Moskowitz well rounded and finally accepting himself for who he is. He will be himself, a blend of ‘old’ Eli and the Eli we know now. He will also have some ‘Hawk’ but he will not overpower. He is balanced, he is in control. 

He knows he can be badass and not be nasty about it. 

His fighting will be amped up, hoping for some final victories for him as the show comes to its end.

All I can say is that Jacob Bertrand has done a fantastic job with this incredibly layered and complex character, who is ultimately just a teenager trying to navigate his way through a karate torn valley.

Nonetheless, he came out the other end twice as strong.
